Depew had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. It was close but no cigar for Depew as they fell 12-14 to Medina/Webber/Barker on Friday. The loss was a vexing one since Depew was expected to win based on their state ranking. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Depew will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Olean at 7:30 PM. Medina/Webber/Barker are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Griffith Institute next week at 7:00 PM.
