The Riverview Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 69-57 to Clairton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Clairton found their leader in underclassman Taris Wooding, who scored 26 points along with five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Wooding has scored at least 25% of Clairton's points. Another player making a difference was Andre Hines, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Clairton, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Riverview will take on Propel Braddock Hills in a holiday battle at TBD on Friday at. Clairton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Mifflin at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. One thing working in West Mifflin's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
