The Odyssey Institute Minotaur posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They really took it to River Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 38-5 victory on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-2.
Odyssey Institute can attribute much of their success to Shelby Hunt, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Hunt hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Danica Slack, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Odyssey Institute and bumps their season record up to 6-11. As for River Valley, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Odyssey Institute will take on Parker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Parker is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for River Valley, they will be playing at home against Madison Highland Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Madison Highland Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
