Shenandoah and Wapahani are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Shenandoah Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Wapahani Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shenandoah is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Shenandoah struggled with threes on Thursday (Franklin County had five more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Shenandoah took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin County.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Grace Lee, who scored 15 points along with four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Haley Hughes was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Wapahani also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Lapel by a score of 50-37. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wapahani in their matchups with Lapel: they've now lost six in a row.
Shenandoah's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Wapahani, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
Shenandoah came up short against Wapahani when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 55-43. Can Shenandoah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
