The Carlin Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 54-14 loss at the hands of McDermitt. Carlin has struggled against McDermitt recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Carlin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elizabeth Clancy, who scored five points along with two steals.
Carlin's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for McDermitt, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Owyhee the next time they take the court. Carlin will head out to face Owyhee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while McDermitt will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
