The Portville Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 74-51 defeat at the hands of Frewsburg. Portville has not had much luck with Frewsburg recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Frewsburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Blake Weaver out in front who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Smith, who scored 20 points along with six steals.
Portville bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Frewsburg, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Portville will be home for the holidays to greet Randolph at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Frewsburg won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th.
