Hibriten got themselves on the board against Draughn on Friday, but Draughn never followed suit. They blew past the Wildcats 56-0. Considering the Panthers have won five matchups by more than 20  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
Leading Hibriten to victory were  Elan Lipford and  Dk Mitchell.  Lipford threw for 94 yards and three  TDs on only eight passes, while  Mitchell rushed for 80 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only nine carries. Mitchell is also on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's  played.  Grady Beam got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Hibriten didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Cam Sidden and  Beam. Beam got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
The  win (which was Hibriten's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Draughn,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hibriten will  challenge  rival R-S Central  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. That  contest will pit two of the most dominant  signal callers against one another:  Lipford and  Rylan Holley. Meanwhile, Draughn is set to  face off against  their familiar foe West Caldwell  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
