The Harnett Central Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Triton Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Harnett Central suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-21 loss at the hands of Overhills. Harnett Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-12.
Meanwhile, Triton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Overhills.
This is the second loss in a row for Harnett Central and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Triton, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
Harnett Central took a serious blow against Triton when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 62-16. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harnett Central was down 32-9.
