After a string of five wins, the Lake View Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 78-53 loss at the hands of Westinghouse. While losing is never fun, Lake View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Warriors are ranked 114th).
Despite the loss, Lake View still got an impressive performance from Ayden Reed, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reed has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dyami Rolon, who scored four points.
Lake View's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Westinghouse, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-7.
Lake View will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Aces at 5:00 p.m. Westinghouse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
