The Little River Redskins put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 58-7 victory over Wakefield. Considering Little River has won four games by more than 50 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Little River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arika Feldman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Feldman's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alaina Eck, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wakefield struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Little River pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44 points. As for Wakefield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Little River will head out on the road to face off against Herington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Herington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Little River is ranked tenth). Wakefield will be home for the holidays to greet Canton-Galva at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canton-Galva has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
