While it was all tied up 25-25 at halftime, Legend was not quite Rock Canyon's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Legend took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Canyon. Legend has not had much luck with Rock Canyon recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Chaparral faced Douglas County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Chaparral narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Douglas County 65-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Chaparral has posted yet this season.
Legend has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Chaparral, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Legend came up short against Chaparral in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 69-59. Can Legend avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
