The West Jordan Jaguars will challenge the Kearns Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in West Jordan's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Kearns has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
West Jordan had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Hunter on Monday. The Jaguars blew past the Wolverines 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Lexy Taylor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Taylor was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, West Jordan got a massive performance out of Andrea Tagovailoa, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Tagovailoa has posted since back in March. Arianna Fjeldsted was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
West Jordan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hunter only posted a batting average of .321.
Meanwhile, Kearns had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Hillcrest 5-4.
West Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Kearns, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
West Jordan took their victory against Kearns in their previous matchup on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
