Southwest posted their biggest victory since November 22, 2024 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Verona Wildcats with a sharp 64-39 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Southwest has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Verona, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Southwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-54 defeat against Miller on the 17th. As for Verona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-25 loss against McAuley Catholic on the 17th.
