The Conway Tigers will face off against the Andrews Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Conway 4, Andrews 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Conway's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Green Sea Floyds by a score of 5-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Benton Causey, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Green Sea Floyds off the board.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Fogle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Andrews, who bounced back after a loss on the road on April 11th. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Woodland two weeks ago. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Andrews got a massive performance out of Sarah Jennings, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Jennings is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Skipper, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Andrews always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodland only posted an OBP of .222.
Andrews' victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Conway, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Conway hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Andrews struggles in that department as they've averaged .428. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
