Make it five blowout wins for the Riverstone International Otters this season. Everything went their way against Notus on Monday as Riverstone International made off with a 71-49 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Riverstone International has posted against Notus since January 15, 2021.
Riverstone International got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amer Sangha out in front who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Sangha pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jason Koval, who scored 23 points.
Despite the loss, Notus still got an impressive performance from Grayson Benitez, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Benny Guevara, who scored 19 points.
Riverstone International is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Notus, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverstone International will take on Centennial Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial Baptist is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Notus, they will head out on the road to square off against Victory Charter at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
