Clinton were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Yellville-Summit 43-6. The victory was familiar territory for Clinton, who now have seven in a row.
Clinton's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Yellville-Summit countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 28-6 going into the half. Clinton put the matchup away in the third quarter with 15 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
Senior Sky Davidson and junior Weston Amos were among the main playmakers for Clinton as the former rushed for 88 yards and 1 touchdown and the latter passed for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Ty Parker, who racked up nine tackles. Clinton added further sheen to their flawless record, now 7-0. Yellville-Summit are on a six-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-6.
Next week Clinton take on Strong at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Clinton and Strong will really light up the scoreboard. Yellville-Summit will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Mountain View in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
