Newman International Academy walked away with a 65-55 win over UME Preparatory Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Newman International Academy.
When it comes to explaining why UME Preparatory Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is William Barnes. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Chapman, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Newman International Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for UME Preparatory Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.
Newman International Academy will face off against DasCHE at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. DasCHE has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 537 points over their last eight games. UME Preparatory Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
