After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Academy of American Studies, Beach Channel was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Flushing Red Devils 13-2. Considering the Dolphins have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Beach Channel pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Flushing, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beach Channel will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Aviation at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Flushing, they will challenge Academy of American Studies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
