On Friday, Tri-County Academy got the win against Clinton Christian Academy by a conclusive 12-1. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Riverfield Academy got themselves on the board against Clinton Christian Academy last Thursday, but Clinton Christian Academy never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Raiders have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Layton Hough, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Riverfield Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Parker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
Tri-County Academy pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Riverfield Academy, their record now sits at 6-3.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tri-County Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. However, it's not like Riverfield Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tri-County Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverfield Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
