Football Recap: Mildred Piles Up the Points Against Cross Roads

Mildred never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Cross Roads Bobcats to the tune of 39-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Luke McKendree threw for 104 yards and one TD on perfect 7-for-7 passing. Caleb Harper was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards. On the ground, Trenton Harris rushed for 98 yards and three scores on only eight carries.

The victory (which was Mildred's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.8 points on average over those games. As for Cross Roads, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Mildred will be playing at home against Dawson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cross Roads does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
