Volleyball Recap: South St. Paul's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

South St. Paul had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Math & Science Academy Dragons on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

South St. Paul found their leader in freshman Abby Ulrick, who had seven digs and three aces. Vienna Ridgeway also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

South St. Paul was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 8-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

South St. Paul's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Math & Science Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, South St. Paul will challenge North at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Math & Science Academy, they will take on Liberty Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
