Camden Fairview dropped down to 5-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 42-21 to the Hot Springs Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cardinals have suffered since November 22, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Camden Fairview lost, don't look at Dayton Browning. Despite the final result, he rushed for 199 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Browning really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run. Another player making a difference was Brodie Dow, who rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown.

Camden Fairview has already played their next contest, a 40-21 defeat against Parkview on the 6th. As for Hot Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 23-21 win against Lakeside on the 7th.
