Baseball Recap: Oklahoma Bible Has No Trouble Against Fairview

Oklahoma Bible came out on top against Fairview on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Yellowjackets. Considering the Trojans have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kai Mendoza, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Oklahoma Bible: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-10 otherwise.

Oklahoma Bible is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Fairview, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12.

Coincidentally, Oklahoma Bible and Fairview will both be playing Kremlin-Hillsdale the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Broncs at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellowjackets will host them at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
