Normal West barely beat Peoria Notre Dame the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Irish with a sharp  13-5 victory on Wednesday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Ryder Coone made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Cooper Temples was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Drew Hart, who  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Normal West has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Peoria Notre Dame,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 11-13.
 Looking ahead, Normal West will take on Danville at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Lincoln  at 4:30  p.m.
