The Teague Lions came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Groesbeck 49-35. For Teague, this counts as revenge for the 68-49 defeat Groesbeck walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Tylin Randle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 24 rebounds. Those 24 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jehmel Rice, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The victory got Teague back to even at 6-6. As for Groesbeck, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Teague will head out on the road to face off against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Groesbeck, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Westwood at 7:30 p.m.
