Kevin Ard and Daventa Adams provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Anderson Cavaliers. The longest such play in Glory For Christ - East this season, the connection resulted in 75 yards.
The Cavaliers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,040 from 11,928. The improvement was the result of 35-15 victory over East Atlanta last week.
The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Ard and Adams proved tough for Anderson Cavaliers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Ard threw for 93 yards and one touchdown and Adams had 82 yards receiving. Garrett Ferguson helped East Atlanta's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
Darius Williams was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 138 yards as Georgia Force lost to Michael Cousar's team. Matthew Thomas also contributed to the rushing game with 51 yards on the ground.
The Cavaliers' Davis Cousar and Danny Waldsmith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cousar has thrown for 693 yards this season, while Waldsmith has 13 catches for 244 yards. The Blue Knights' Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 473.
A big matchup in Glory For Christ - East this week will be when Joe Blount's team takes on Augusta Prep Day. The Mustangs are in second place, while Augusta Prep Day is in fifth place.
