It was a good run, but the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were beaten by Valley 55-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast Career Tech has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Southeast Career Tech struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Valley posted 12 assists.
Valley found their leader in underclassman Anaya Williams, who scored 18 points along with six steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Haliburton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Southeast Career Tech's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Valley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast Career Tech will take on the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Legacy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Somerset Academy Losee is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
