Rhea County suffered a tough 53-30 defeat at the hands of Cleveland. Rhea County has struggled against Cleveland recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Cleveland to victory were Tamiah Tanner and Lauren Hurst. Tanner scored eight points along with five steals, while Hurst almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Hurst is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Callie Brewer, who scored nine points.
Rhea County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. As for Cleveland, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
