The Westwood Longhorns pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-61 to Oakhaven. It was the first time this season that Westwood let down their fans at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakhaven to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jertavien Williams , who scored 18 points. The match was Williams 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Amari Spates was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Westwood's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3. As for Oakhaven, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing City University School of Liberal Arts the next time they take the court. Oakhaven will host City University School of Liberal Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Westwood will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
