The Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders lost against the Highmore/Harrold Pirates on January 16th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sunshine Bible Academy was the victim of a tough 62-36 defeat at the hands of the Pirates. Sunshine Bible Academy was down 49-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the loss, Sunshine Bible Academy still got an impressive performance from Trey Thieman, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Thieman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Kalacinski, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Sunshine Bible Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Highmore/Harrold, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunshine Bible Academy will take on the Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highmore/Harrold, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Scotties.
