It was a good run, but the Glennallen Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Non Varsity Opponent. Glennallen was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Non Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Despite the loss, Glennallen still got an impressive performance from Teagan Rude, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raylie Sutherland, who scored seven points.
Glennallen's defeat ended a 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-6. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 117-218 record this season.
Glennallen will look to defend their home court on Friday against Haines. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-51 win vs. Nunamiut on the 9th.
