Blanco is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Goliad is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Blanco Panthers will take on the Goliad Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Blanco extended their postseason success on Friday against London. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 55-24 victory over the Pirates. Blanco's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Cameron Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 177 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nic Fox, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Meanwhile, Goliad made easy work of Hondo on Friday and carried off a 41-21 victory.
Their wins bumped Blanco to 10-2 and London to 7-5.
