Baldwin is a perfect 5-0 against Howard since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Braves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Baldwin has given up an average of 35.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Baldwin is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Westside on Friday. The Braves received a blow as they fell 44-27 to the Patriots. The Braves gained 97 more yards on the day, but it was the Patriots that made the best use of them.

Despite the defeat, Baldwin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kamden Patterson threw for 324 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. The Braves' leading receiver Charlie Warren was Patterson's top target yet again, picking up 114 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 points the game before, Howard was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 32-7 to Harlem. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 115th).

Baldwin has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.7 points over those games. As for Howard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Baldwin was able to grind out a solid win over Howard in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 49-36. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Huskies' Deon Wellons, who threw for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 65 yards.
