Christopher Martinez was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

Even if they lost, Hope's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Davies Career & Tech's QB won't forget Jonathan Jean-Louis anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Jean-Louis also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Hope received some extra help from Justin Marshall, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Smithfield never let their opponents score on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 36-0 victory over Toll Gate.
Hope's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Smithfield, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
