After a string of six wins, the Glen Allen Jaguars's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 74-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hermitage. Even though they lost, Glen Allen's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.7 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the defeat, Glen Allen saw an underclassman step up: Faron Friend dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Friend scored a full 32.3% of Glen Allen's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brodey Harper, who scored 13 points.
Glen Allen's loss dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Hermitage, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Glen Allen will square off against Patrick Henry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hermitage will be home for the holidays to greet Freeman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Freeman's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
