There's no place like home for the McIntosh Chiefs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-36 win over Northside on Tuesday. Given McIntosh's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Northside is ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading McIntosh to victory were Myles Biggs and Landon Dolhancyk. Biggs scored 11 points along with three steals, while Dolhancyk scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Jake Heaton was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
McIntosh pushed their record up to 12-12 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Northside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
McIntosh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northside, they will be playing at home against Harris County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northside is facing Harris County at the right time seeing as Harris County is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
