Softball Recap: Canton South Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Canton South had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 5-11 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the Fairless Falcons get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 on Monday.

As for Fairless, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Fairless' part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailee Espenschied, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canton South will venture away from home to challenge Carrollton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairless, they will head out to take on Rittman at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
