It was a good run, but the Oakman Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 85-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fayette County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Thursday (64), Oakman still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Oakman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rick Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 30 points along with 5 steals. The match was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trenton Warren, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Oakman's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Fayette County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Oakman's road trip will continue as they head out to face Addison at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. One thing working in Addison's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fayette County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Lamar at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
