Two dominant guards in Carlo Mulford and Isaiah Reiser are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Herriman Mustangs will square off against the Copper Hills Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Herriman will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
Herriman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Corner Canyon, who was ranked eighth at the time (Herriman was ranked fifth). Everything went Herriman's way against Corner Canyon on Friday as Herriman made off with a 71-49 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Herriman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mulford led the charge by putting up 36 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Mulford a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cale Barclay, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards.
Herriman was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corner Canyon only racked up seven assists.
Meanwhile, Copper Hills ended up a good deal behind Bingham on Friday and lost 74-60. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Miners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Herriman will have to contain Reiser as he made an impact in Copper Hills' last game. He went 9 for 18 en route to 25 points. Logan Batt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.
Copper Hills' defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Herriman, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Herriman has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Copper Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Herriman didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Copper Hills in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 71-66 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Reiser, who went 12 of 21 on his way to 29 points and five assists. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Herriman still be able to contain Reiser? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
