Eagle Ridge Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 72-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Roughriders. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Roughriders from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.
Roosevelt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Burke led the charge by dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Burke a new career-high. Jack Cook was another key player, going 5-for-10 on his way to 21 points.
Coming up, Eagle Ridge Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Thornton at 6:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to face off against Pueblo East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
