Xavier College Prep took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Liberty Lions as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row dating back to last season.
One reason for the win was Xavier College Prep's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14, 25-11.
Tessa Larkin paced Xavier College Prep's offense, picking up 16 kills. Larkin got some help from Selah O'Connor and her 19 assists. Sahmone Wadsworth controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Xavier College Prep will square off against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Liberty, they will face off against Cesar Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
