McCollum waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Edison Golden Bears. Considering the Cowboys have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

McCollum got a massive performance out of ALVAREZ KAITLIN, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was MARTINEZ LAUREN, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

McCollum always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edison only posted an OBP of .364.

McCollum's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Edison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14-1.

McCollum will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
