The Freedom Eagles will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the James Madison Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Freedom has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Freedom scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Hylton 53-10 at home. With Freedom ahead 34-2 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Freedom relied on the efforts of Keilana Johnson, who scored 12 points along with four steals and four blocks, and Keilani Johnson, who scored 20 points along with seven assists and five steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for her. Savannah Price was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, James Madison's 25-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 49-39 to Ponte Vedra on Friday.
The win got Freedom back to even at 4-4. As for James Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
