Hoggard has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. They will face off against the Jacksonville Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Hoggard earned a 49-42 victory over West Bladen.
Meanwhile, even though Wallace-Rose Hill scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, Jacksonville still came out on top. Jacksonville simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wallace-Rose Hill 92-61 at home. With Jacksonville ahead 51-30 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Jacksonville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ra-Shawn Echols led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaree Barber, who scored 18 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals.
Their wins bumped Hoggard to 2-0 and West Bladen to 2-1.
Everything went Hoggard's way against Jacksonville in their previous meeting back in January of 2019 as Hoggard made off with a 61-38 win. Does Hoggard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jacksonville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
