Emery scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 76-67 to the Bear River Bears. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emery's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffin Brek, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ajay Thomas, who went 7-for-11 en route to 20 points.

Emery's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bear River, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Emery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-52 victory against Ogden on the 5th. As for Bear River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-46 defeat against Canyon View on the 5th.
