There's no place like home for the Centura Centurions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They rang in the new year with a 37-26 win over Sutton on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Centura, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Kyra Wooden, who scored 18 points along with eight steals. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Davis, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five blocks.
Centura's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Sutton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centura will take on Gothenburg at TBD on Saturday. As for Sutton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cross County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cross County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
