Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Keller's 15th in Last 17 Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Keller walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marcus Marauders on Friday, sneaking past 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Marauders on Thursday, they had to take a 4-2 loss.

Keller got a great performance from Avery Lawton as she tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Keller let Mackenna Jackson and Kaiya Fabela run wild. Jackson went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Fabela went 1-for-2 with one home run. Madison Eads was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Keller is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-8-1 record this season. As for Marcus, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-9.

Keller will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Marauders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
