Page hasn't had much luck against Community recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Patriots will head out to challenge the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Page 2.9, Community 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Tuesday, Page needed a bit of extra time to put away Summit. They had just enough and edged out the Spartans 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
Ashley Johnson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Anna Johnson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Community posted their closest win since May 22, 2025 on Tuesday. They skirted past Forrest 8-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Annie Prince spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gracie Daniel, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Webb, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Page's record is now 17-3-1. As for Community, their record now sits at 13-7.
Page came up short against Community in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
