The Siegel Stars's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Summit Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Siegel fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Wilson Central on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Summit's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Columbia Central at home by a decisive 48-32 margin. While losing is never fun, Summit can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Columbia Central is ranked 46th).
Siegel has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Summit, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5.
Siegel might still be hurting after the 57-34 defeat they got from Summit in their previous matchup back in January. Can Siegel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
