After a string of three wins, the Lone Oak Buffaloes's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Rains, falling 63-21. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lone Oak in their matchups with Rains: they've now lost four in a row.
Rains' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Presley Kilgore, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Caroline Piles, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lone Oak's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Rains, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-2.
Lone Oak will head out on the road to take on Commerce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Commerce presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lone Oak in Texas (Commerce is ranked 281st, while Lone Oak is ranked 830th). As for Rains, they will be playing at home against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chisum focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
